Trombettista, Compositore e Arrangiatore

With this first recording project, Tiziano Codoro, making his debut as a leader and composer, presents himself in a decidedly unexpected way. Always attentive to the new and current musical proposals, especially from his young international colleagues, in “Impermanenze” he does not miss the opportunity to draw heavily from his musical experience, based on innumerable interests, to fuel the timbric research, that compositional and, last but not least, electronic experimentation clearly in the foreground in this first work of his.

“Impermanenze” is an album with dark tones and certainly shows the need for an introspective study so much so that, throughout the journey, without hesitations Tiziano guides the good musicians who work alongside him, towards a goal that is gradually emerging and culminating in a almost liberating light. We like to think that this light is represented by the string quartet which, with obsessive attention, manifests itself only in specific moments of the work, adding a light (precisely) and a breath that only this formation can give us. Furthermore, the arrangements demonstrate an evident melodic sensitivity, while the use of electronics, an element that Tiziano Codoro has always mastered, makes us discover a rare sensitivity for details and small things.

Also significant is the care taken in finding an adequate balance between all the elements brought into play in this work, be it compositional or musical elements or the musicians themselves, each expertly valorised in their own role.

A first work that finally doesn’t wink, but that tells us about a man and his musical sensitivity but also about his experiences and his fragilities.

Let’s therefore put ourselves in our best listening condition to be able to fully appreciate “Impermanenze” in all its nuances and we sincerely wish Tiziano Codoro to always keep his honesty alive together with an uncommon autonomy in musical decisions, but above all to never let himself be tempted from the sirens of easy targets.
